Course duration for B. Ed. & M. Ed. Raised to 2 years from 1 year!
In order to improve the standard of education, it is imperative that the teachers should be efficient and proficient in teaching. Considering this aspect, the National Education Forum has decided to rise the duration of the B. Ed. & M. Ed. Courses to 2 years from the current duration of 1 year.

Residential plots will be available for all income groups
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa, in a statement in the Assembly, said a modern, residential layout of 222 acres would be established at Kadambur village near Maraimalai Nagar (about 35 km south of Chennai). Residential plots will be available for all income groups.
