This year there were 1, 85,670 lakh seats available in 527 colleges. Anna University began counselling on 25 June, while general admissions began on 27 June. This will go on till 21 July.

14.13 lakh BPL LPG connections released under PM Ujjwala Yojana
14.13 lakh LPG connections have been released to women of BPL families under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY). The scheme is currently under operation in 487 districts of 17 states.
