The Oxford University Research states that different musical tempos have got different impact on our pulses and blood pressure. There are few classical orchestral pieces that verily enhances the body’s natural rhythm.
According to the lead author of the research, Professor Peter Sleight, in our body, rise and fall of human blood pressure take place at a frequency of every ten seconds. These rhythms are tactfully replicated by select composers like Verdi.
This research clearly described about the way in which music, especially rhythm can affect the functioning of heart and its blood vessels. However, deeper studies are required to understand and reduce uncertainty in the actual role played by music.
