Are you aware of these foods that could prevent dry skin?

Just hydrating from outside would not be sufficient for the dry skin.

By applying moisturizers, we might be able to avoid this dry skin condition but it would not be enough to keep the skin soft, and hydrated for a longer duration of time. It is necessary that along with the moisturizers we must also look into the food we consume.

For the purpose of preventing dry skin issues, we must eat these foods.

Intake of avocados:
The health of the skin would be good if we consume avocados that ahs got vitamins like A, C, E, K plus other nutrients like folate, omega 3 fatty acids etc. It is said that intake of avocados could help the skin from inside. The skin would be kept supple by these nutrients mentioned above and this would be done by repairing the skin tissues and hydrating the skin cells.

Intake of green vegetables:
There are many nutrients like magnesium, calcium, iron, vitamins like A, B, C, K etc in green vegetables like kale, cabbage, broccoli, spinach etc. Our body would be able to self regulate by the intake of green vegetables. It must be noted that the presence of antioxidants in kale would improve the overall texture of the skin.

Intake of nuts, seeds etc:
It is essential that we must eat nuts and seeds to be free from dry skin issues. The nutrients like omega 3 fatty acids, omega 6 fatty acids plus antioxidants would be good for the skin health. Intake of almonds and walnuts would be highly beneficial for the skin.

Intake of sweet potatoes:
Various skin friendly nutrients that are present in the sweet potatoes are potassium, biotin, phosphorus, potassium, copper, carotenoids, fibres, plus vitamins like A, B1, B2, B3, B6 etc. It is believed that by consuming sweet potatoes our skin could get hydrated and smoothened from inside. We could be free from skin issues due to the antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties of sweet potatoes. The toxins would be flushed out from the body.

Foods to avoid:
It is important that we must avoid any food that would drain moisture from the body. Examples are alcohol, caffeine etc. We must avoid intake of fried and baked foods that have got trans- fat. By consuming trans- fats, veins would get narrowed down and blood circulation in the deeper skin layers would get harmed. So, please be careful.
