Chennai Puthaga Sangamam to organize 10-day book fest

A 10-day book festival will be held at YMCA Grounds in Chennai from April 18. This is being organized by Chennai Puthaga Sangamam. The exhibition will be held from 11am to 8.30pm. The book fair will have separate sections for English, children�s books and regional language publishers.
The fest, coinciding with World Book Day on April 23, will be organized by Periyar Self-Respect Propaganda Institution in association with the National Book Trust of the HRD ministry. The fair received a huge response in 2013, when it was conducted for the first time.Last year, more than 100 publishers took part in the festival. YMCA Grounds was chosen as the venue this year to accommodate more publishers and sellers. Publishers, booksellers, and dealers in educational texts who wish to set up stalls should apply by March 25.
