Greet to a grand city club in Chennai, where many science ideas say cheers to each other. It brings both young and old knowledgeable scientists to share their latest evolution, concepts and procedures.
Here is the occasion of the club�s 150th meeting in the Central Leather Research Institute (CLRI) on Saturday, where a 96 year old Dr. C.R. Suryanarayanan who is a retired Army doctor will be presenting his speech on �Brain of a Genius� and a 9 year old autistic student, Vishal Anand will be present to listen at him.
About 13 years ago, this Science club is the one which has been founded in 2001 by former CLRI Director T.Ramasami informally just to endorse an inter-disciplinary approach for research.
Now it has been open to all including students, professionals and for anyone who wants to share their interest in the arena of science, technology and medicine.
Presently, CLRI director A B Mandal is acting as the club�s chief patron. The club�s constitutes members from both the Institute of Mathematical Sciences and IIT-M. The club aims to promote elevated levels of research, stated by M R Sridharan, convener of the club.
