Increase in age limit for selection of CBI sub-inspectiors & Enforcement Officers : Benefit for OBC, SC, & ST

The Central government’s Staff Selection Commission is conducting Graduate-level Examination for filling the vacancies in Group-B in various government departments.

Minimum qualification required is a degree with any specialization. Age should be from 18 to 27. The age limit extension has been granted to: OBC – 3years, SC/ST – 5 years, and Differently abled – 10 years.

Vacancies exist in various departments in different ministries for the post of Assistants, Income Tax Analysts, Smuggling Prevention Officer, Assistant Enforcement Officer, CBISub-inspector, Postal Assistants, Clerks, and statistician (Grade-II). The examination for selection was announced last week.

The first stage of selection will be conducted on 27th April and 4th May. The last date for application wa 14th February.

The government has released an important information:

Age limit for the posts of CBI Sub-inspectors and Assistant Enforevement Officers has been raised by 3 years- from the age limit of 27 years to the age of 30 years.

The age limit for Statistician – Gread –II has been raised from 26 to 32. There is change in the qualification required.

This announcement is expected to benefit the OBC, SC & ST Classes.

The last date for application for Part-1 has been extended up to 22nd February. For Part-2, it has been extended up to 24th February. Applications can be made on line - (www.ssconline.nic.in).
