2,50,000 applications to be printed for Engineering Course Applications – Anna University Vice-Chancellor

Candidates applying for engineering courses in Government and self-financed colleges are admitted in a single-file system. The admissions are given and the vacancies are filled based on the ‘cut-off’ mark and counseling.
At the end of last year’s counseling, 80,000 seats were not filled up. However, this is not likely to be repeated this year. All vacancies are to be filled.
For the admissions during 2014-15, 2,50,000 applications will be printed. If required, an additional 30,000 may be made available. Last year, 2,86,000 applications were printed. However, this year, 1,00,000 more students are writing the +2 examinations.
Last year, the counseling started by the 3rd week of July and ended on 1st August. This will be continued for this year. Application forms will be made available easily. The forms can be down-loaded from the internet as well.
