Chennai Corporation distributes gold

The Chennai Corporation on Tuesday distributed money and gold to women under the marriage assistance scheme. About 1,000 women (who have completed Class 10) received 25,000 and 4g of gold each, while 1,950 (who have done graduation) got 50,000 and 4g gold each. The beneficiaries were selected after checking their educational qualifications, income proof, marriage invitations and community certificates.
