Rajya Sabha biennial election

The Election Commission on Monday announced biennial Rajya Sabha elections to fill six vacancies. Chief electoral officer Praveen Kumar said the nominations can be filed until January 28. Last date for withdrawal of candidature is January 31 and voting, if necessary, will be held on February 7 in the secretariat. The poll will be held between 9am and 4pm. Counting will be taken up on the same day.
