S P Balasubramaniam unwell ill in South Africa

Legendary playback singer S P Balasubramaniam aged 67 years was last heard singing in the Hindi film Chennai Express. He attended the International Indian Film Festival of South Africa (IIFFSA) at South Africa to receive Lifetime Achievement award. He also sang a line each in 15 languages at the function. After receiving the award, he fell ill. The nature of illness was not disclosed. Organizers who have planned a dinner with him tonight has cancelled it. He will be reaching Chennai today.
