SpiceJet to drop Puducherry and Trichy from its network

As part of SpiceJet plan to overhaul its routes in the summer schedule, it has decided to drop Puducherry and Trichy from its network. SpiceJet was the only airline flying out of the Union territory of Puducherry to Bangalore thrice a week.
The airline will add Hong Kong and Dhaka to its network while it will discontinue services on Pune-Bangkok, Varanasi-Sharjah and Delhi-Guangzhou routes as per a new summer schedule filed for approval.A statement from the airline said the revised schedule would fully deploy SpiceJet’s fleet of 42 Boeing and 15 Q400 Bombardier aircraft and was aimed at further growth for the airline.
