MRTS will not operate additional trains on Thursday

There will be heavy rush on Thursday in suburban and MRTS trains. In spite of this, the Railways will not be operating additional trains on Thursday. Trains will be operated as per the weekday schedule. Scarcities of coaches and saturated lines have prevented railways from introducing special trains to Madurai, Tuticorin, Tirunelveli, Trichy and Coimbatore. It is operating special services to Thanjavur, Mannargudi, Tiruchendur, Manamadurai, Coimbatore and Chengalpet. More coaches have been added to daily services of Chennai-Trichy Rock Fort to enhance its capacity by 1,000 passengers.
