Malaysia based Metro Parking takes control of Chennai Airport Parking

Chennai Airport Assistant General Manager (PR) Harbajan Singh announced that hereafter, free drive time within the airport premises has been increased from 7 minutes to 10 minutes.
The Malaysian based new contractor for Metro Parking is appointed to look after the parking facilities of city airport. Because of this move, drivers who can manage pickups and drops of their passengers within ten minutes are spared from the four-hour parking fee of Rs. 135.
The time limit for free drive at the beginning was 5 minutes. Then it was increased to 7 minutes and now it is going to be 10 minutes. D. Sudhakara Reddy, Air Passengers’ Association of India (APAI) highly appreciated this move.
