Service tax payment facility even on holidays: Excise department

Information from Chief Commissioner of Central Excise, Ms. R. Shakuntala:
There are many service tax payers in some area in Chennai and Puducherry.31st December is the last date for paying service tax.
To facilitate the public to pay service taxes, the offices will remain open on 28th Saturday & 28th Sunday as per the usual timings. This arrangement is to reduce the rush in the last hour and the public is request to avail this with the best cooperation by paying the service tax before the deadline.
