Home Secretary and Metro Rail Chief shifted in Tamil Nadu

The Tamil Nadu Government has passed the following orders:
Senior IAS officer Apurva Varma has been transferred and posted as the principal secretary to government, home, prohibition and excise department. He is presently the principal secretary to government, higher education department, a release said.
Dr Niranjan Mardi, holding the post of the home secretary to the government along with prohibition and excise department, was transferred and posted as the principal secretary/commissioner of economics and statistics.
Chennai Metro Rail Ltd MD K. Rajaraman, IAS who is also holding the post of the principal secretary to the government, special initiatives department, besides member secretary of the SDAT, was transferred and posted as the principal secretary/commissioner of commercial taxes.
Pankaj Kumar Bansal, director of the Tamil Nadu Health Systems Project, will be MD of the Chennai Metro Rail Ltd.
