Railroad workers all over India to go on strike in February or March

Railway employees have been demanding action on 36 issues including the new pension scheme to be withdrawn and the vacancies to be immediately filled.
The employees union is interested in getting the deal completed before the ensuing parliamentary elections. As a strategy to pressurize the government, the union is planning an all-india indefinite .strike. 96^ employees have agreed for this proposal.
They expect that all their demands should be met before the parliamentary elections.The strike could create major problems for the government and the traveling public. It is understood the Railway Employees Union wing supported by the ruling Congress party has also agreed for the strike proposal.
