Employment offer for 50,000 people every year in the banking sector

The Finance Minister, Mr. P. Chidambaram, has announced that there will be fresh employment opportunity for 50000 every year in the banking sector.
He was addressing the 103rd Foundation Day of the Central Bank of India in Madurai. The bank chairman, Mr. Rajiv Rishi presided over the function. Mr. P. Chidambaram told that the old Company’s act provided limited opportunities for expanding faculties. The New Company act was formed to get over this limitation.
As per the new act, all public companies, private companies, and other organizations will have to allot 2% of their profits towards corporate social welfare improvement activities. There has been a tremendous growth in the banking sector over the last 10 years. There are 1,10,000 public bank branches all over the country. Every year, additional 8,000 branches are opened. In the current year, about 1000 branches have been opened.This expansion activity has facilitated new employment opportunities for 50,000 persons every year.
