150 special buses to run in the city on the celebration of the New Year

The Chennai Metropolitan Transport Corporation is planning to run 150 special buses to various places on the New Year`s Eve.
It is customary for vast crowds to gather in popular places such as marina beach and Eliot’s beach,. In the morning, they visit temples and other places of worship where special prayers are conducted. Family picnics to Vandalur and Mahabalipuram are also popular.
In order to help the movement of the celebrating public, MTC has planned to run special buses from Broadway, Marina, Vadapalani, Besant Nagar, Tamnaram, Vandalur, MGM Amusement Park, Valluvar Kottam and another 100 places on the New Year Eve.
MTC officials informed that from the 31st noon to 1st evening, a number of special buses will run. Night services will be available. For the early morning trips, buses will run to Sri Parthasarathy Temple, Sri Kapaleeswarar temple, Vadapalani Lord Murugan temple, Thiruverkadu, Thrunneermalai, Mangadu, Kubdrathur (temples), and Santhome & Besant Nagar Churches.
