Five thousand people fined for not wearing seat belts

Wearing seat belts in the cars were made compulsory from 9th of this month. The driver and the person sitting next to the driver should buckle the belts. Otherwise a penalty of Rs 100 was levied. Five thousand people till now have been penalised for not wearing the seat belts.
Even VIPs and actors have been fined. Even police officials have to adhere to this. The traffic police has mentioned that police officers should advise their drivers to wear the seat belts. Then only this rule will be successful.
