Shocking report from the parliamentary standing committee

There is a threatening news from a report stated by the parliamentary standing committee. India may face natural gas shortage in another 2 years span. The shocking element here is that this cannot be even rectified by importing the product, as the country doesn’t possess enough infrastructures.
During 2012 – 13, the need was 286 million standard cubic meters (mscmd), whereas only 134 mmscnmd was available. This requirement volume is expected to escalate to 300 mmscmd out of which only 139 mmscmd will be available.
