Mysore scion Srikantadatta Wodeyar passed away
Srikantadatta Wodeyar , who belongs to Mysore Raja family passes away due to heart attack in bangalore. Mysore was ruled by Maharaja Jayasamarajendira Wodeyar. His son Srikantadatta Wodeyar , eventhought not directly declared as raja, but he played a role of the king among the people. He headed the Mysore Dasara function conducted in the month of october.
Wodeyar was elected as the congress MP from Mysore four times. And also he is a good fashion designer. Apart from politics, he showed interest in sports. Since played in the college level sports, he continued to have link with the sports department.
Last month he was elected as the president of Karnataka State Cricket Association. Wodeyar`s wife Pramoda Devi Avaru is from the Bettada Kote Ursu family of the former princely state of Mysore. This couple is not blessed with child.
