Tamil Nadu holds talks with Kerala for procuring power

There is a dearth in production of electricity in Tamil Nadu and because of this, there are severe power crisis in Tamil Nadu. In order to manage the situation, the Tamil Nadu Electricity Board has decided to buy power from adjoining States.
TNEB held talks with the Kerala Government to procure 400 megawatts of power. But there is also a power shortage in Kerala and because of this the state is facing half an hour power cuts. Hence Kerala is hesitant in giving power to Tamil Nadu.
