The TamilNadu Government declared that, many steps have been taken to save cattle’s from Komari disease. Also it acknowledged, currently the Komari illness has been completely reduced among the cattle’s.
In TamilNadu, many
farmers have complained that, due to this Komari disease, many cattle’s have
been dead. In this case, a research meeting was conducted under the leadership
of Thiru T.K.M. Chinnayya, the
Minister for Animal Husbandry. Also, the joint directors of Ministry of Animal
Husbandry were participating in the meeting.
The agenda of the
issues that were discussed in the meeting includes: preventive measures of the
Komari disease in several districts, effective tactics on protecting the
cattle’s from death, details of the treatments served, information about
transporting the cattle’s via either using vehicles or by walk, reactivation of
the TamilNadu Livestock market and so on.
The districts like
Nagaipatinam, Thiruvarur, Vellore, Pudukkotai and Erode which are highly
affected by the Komari disease is currently free from such diseases, stated by
Minster Thiru T.K.M. Chinnayya. He
states that, due to various preventive measures taken for the Komari disease,
the cattle’s are free from the disease nowadays. Also, in the meeting he
insisted that, the Komari disease is completely out of sight in TamilNadu.
Sixth Round-off Vaccination: It is planned to carry out a sixth round-off vaccination for cattle’s on either March or April of next year. Hence all the joint directors of the Ministry of Animal Husbandry recommends the Government that, a special project plan should have been prepared for this vaccination and also with the help of the district governance all the cattle’s should get vaccinated at any cost without fail.
