141 elementary schools – when will they fall under corporation’s control?

In spite of the requests from the city corporation, the 141 elementary schools – inclusive of higher secondary schools – of the city’s areas like Perungudi, Tiruvotriyur, Ambattur, Manali and Maadhavaram are functioning under the school education department.
As per the statements from Ripon building officials, the city corporation had requested the state government to transfer the control. But still, the control is not been transferred. It is to be noted that there are nearly 310 schools under the administration of the city corporation.
