Second Veterinary Response Unit at TANUVAS

TANUVAS – Tamil Nadu Veterinary and Animal Sciences University will get its second Veterinary Emergency Response Unit on 9th December. During the event, training will be given to National Disaster Response Force on how to protect the animals during disaster periods. During the recent flood in Uttarakhand, people were rescued by the rescuing team. However, the animals were rescued only after few days.
Understanding the fact that animals play a huge part in people’s lives, the NDMA (National Disaster Management Authority) has planned for such a training program.
