Amma medical camps in Chennai

The Chennai Corporation has planned to conduct over 1,000 medical camps in the city to tackle health problems and to prevent the outbreak of diseases in the monsoon season. At least five health and medical camps will be conducted in each of the corporation wards.
The plan named ‘Amma’ medical camps will be conducted from December 26-30 and will include screening of infective diseases. The Corporation also inaugurated an Amma water sales stall in Ripon building on Friday. The stall, which has been set up in a shop inside the Ripon building grounds, will be run by Aavin Cooperative Society and will sell Aavin dairy products. It was opened for sales on Friday evening and will cater to the employees and visitors at the Ripon building.
