Train services in Chennai and adjoining routes have been partially cancelled due to ongoing engineering works, according to an official release from the Southern Railway.
Chennai Central – Gudur Route Changes
Due to engineering work at Sulurpet yard on the Chennai Central–Gudur line, suburban EMU train services will be partially cancelled on specific dates.
- The EMU train departing from Chennai Central railway station at 12:10 PM to Sulurpet on 19th and 21st will be partially cancelled between Elavur and Sulurpet.
- The return EMU train from Sulurpet to Chennai Central scheduled at 1:15 PM on the same dates will be partially cancelled between Sulurpet and Elavur.
Tambaram – Villupuram MEMU Service Changes
Engineering works between Mailam and Tindivanam on the Chennai Egmore–Villupuram line have led to changes in MEMU passenger train services.
- The MEMU passenger train departing from Tambaram at 9:40 AM to Villupuram on 17th, 19th, and 21st will be partially cancelled between Tindivanam and Villupuram.
- The MEMU passenger train from Villupuram to Chennai Beach departing at 1:30 PM on the same dates will be partially cancelled between Villupuram and Tindivanam.
