Tamil Nadu Likely to Go to Polls in Mid-April; Final Voter Roll on Feb 17

Tamil Nadu is expected to head to the Assembly polls in mid-April, with April 13 being considered for single-phase voting, according to reports. The final electoral roll will be released on February 17, determining voter eligibility.
The Election Commission may announce the official schedule by late February or early March, as elections are due across five states including Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Kerala, West Bengal, and Assam.
With the electoral roll revision process completed, preparations are underway. A senior Election Commission official is set to review polling arrangements, voter data, and coordination with political parties in Chennai ahead of the announcement.
