CBSE Introduces On-Screen Marking for Class 12 Exams

In a major digital reform, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has introduced an On-Screen Marking (OSM) system for evaluating Class 12 answer sheets.
Students will continue writing exams on paper, but the answer scripts will be scanned and evaluated digitally by teachers using special software. CBSE says this move will improve transparency, accuracy, and efficiency.
Schools have been instructed to upload teacher details online by tomorrow, and training sessions for teachers will be held from the 14th to 16th of this month.
The traditional manual correction method will continue for other classes, including Class 10.
