Highways Minister E V Velu announced that the newly built ‘L’-shaped flyover at the Madhya Kailash junction will be inaugurated by Chief Minister M K Stalin on February 16.
Constructed at a cost of ₹61 crore, the three-lane, 652-metre-long flyover is designed for unidirectional traffic from Sardar Patel Road to Rajiv Gandhi Salai (OMR), helping vehicles bypass the busy junction. The flyover features a widened right turn for smoother traffic flow, higher parapet walls for improved safety, and a speed limit of 30 kmph.
