IMD Forecast: Fair Weather in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal Till Feb 12
According to the Regional Meteorological Centre, Chennai, a low-level atmospheric circulation is prevailing over the Kumari Sea and adjoining areas, as well as over Lakshadweep and nearby regions.
Due to this weather pattern, fair and dry weather conditions are likely to prevail across Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karaikal from Saturday (February 7) to February 12.
Fog Forecast for Multiple Districts
From Saturday to Tuesday (February 7 to 10), moderate fog is likely to occur during early morning hours at isolated places over the following districts:
- North coastal districts of Tamil Nadu
- Nilgiris
- Dindigul
- Salem
- Erode
- Krishnagiri
- Dharmapuri
- Tirupattur
- Vellore
- Ranipet
Motorists and early-morning commuters in these regions are advised to exercise caution due to reduced visibility.
Chennai Weather Update
In Chennai and its suburban areas, partly cloudy skies are expected on Saturday. Moderate fog may form at isolated locations during early morning hours, the weather department said.
