725 Special Buses Announced for Weekend Travel (Feb 6 & 7)
To manage the heavy passenger rush during the weekend holidays on Friday and Saturday (February 6 & 7), the State Express Transport Corporation (SETC) has announced the operation of 725 special buses across Tamil Nadu and neighbouring states.
Special Bus Services from Chennai
From Kilambakkam Bus Terminus, special buses will operate to major destinations including Tiruvannamalai, Trichy, Kumbakonam, Madurai, Tirunelveli, Nagercoil, Kanyakumari, Thoothukudi, Coimbatore, Salem, Erode, and Tiruppur.
Friday (Feb 6): 240 buses
Saturday (Feb 7): 255 buses
From CMBT Koyambedu, additional services will run to Tiruvannamalai, Nagapattinam, Velankanni, Hosur, and Bengaluru, with 55 buses each day.
Intercity & Return Services
- 100 special buses will operate from Bengaluru, Coimbatore, Tiruppur, and Erode to various destinations.
- Madhavaram Bus Terminus will operate 20 special buses each on Friday and Saturday.
In total, 725 special SETC buses will be operated to ensure smooth, safe, and comfortable weekend travel for passengers.
