According to the weather department, moderate fog is expected in isolated places during early morning hours in Tiruvallur, Ranipet, Vellore, Dharmapuri, Krishnagiri, and Tirupattur districts.
Meanwhile, light fog may occur in parts of Erode, Salem, Namakkal, Tiruchirappalli, and Karur districts.

Rain Forecast from February 1 to 4

From February 1 to February 4, light to moderate rainfall is likely at a few places over southern coastal districts of Tamil Nadu.
Other parts of Tamil Nadu, along with Puducherry and Karaikal, are expected to experience dry weather during this period.

In Chennai and its suburban areas, the sky is expected to remain partly cloudy on Friday.

The IMD has also issued a warning for fishermen, stating that cyclonic winds with speeds up to 65 kmph are likely to prevail over the Gulf of Mannar and the Comorin Sea on January 30 and 31. Fishermen are advised not to venture into the sea during this period.
