Applications Invited for Home Guard Recruitment in Tambaram City: Police Commissionerate
The Tambaram City Police Commissionerate has invited applications from eligible men and women who are interested in serving in the Tambaram City Home Guard Unit.
According to an official press release issued by the Tambaram City Police Commissionerate, applications are invited to fill 32 vacant posts, including 29 male and 3 female Home Guard positions. Candidates with a sense of dedication, discipline, and interest in public service are encouraged to apply.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Should have good conduct and no criminal background - Must be a resident within the Tambaram City Police jurisdiction - Should have passed Class 10 (SSLC) - Age limit: Minimum 18 years and maximum 45 years - Candidates currently employed in government service must submit a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their department
Required Documents
Applicants must submit self-attested copies of the following documents:
- Aadhaar Card
- Family Card
- Voter ID Card
- Class 10 Mark Sheet
- Two recent passport size photographs
Training and Remuneration
Selected Home Guards will undergo 45 days of training, with one hour of training per day. After completing the training, they will be posted to police stations located near their place of residence.
Home Guards will not receive a fixed monthly salary. Instead, they will be paid a consolidated allowance for the days they are on duty, as per government norms.
