Broadway Bus Stand Buses Diverted to Temporary Terminals - Complete Details
Due to ongoing renovation and infrastructure development works at the Broadway Bus Stand, the Greater Chennai Corporation has announced a major change in bus operations.
From Saturday, January 24, all buses that were earlier operated from Broadway Bus Stand will now be operated from temporary bus terminals at Royapuram and Theevu Thidal.
Royapuram Temporary Bus Terminal – Route Information
Buses operating via Anna Salai and EVR Road will be handled from the Royapuram temporary bus stand.
Major route numbers include 11, 21, 26, 52, 54, 60, 18 series, 26 series, 51 series, 52 series, 60 series, 71 series, 101 Express, 120 series, and Route 150, among others.
Theevu Thidal Temporary Bus Terminal – Route Information
Buses operating via Kamarajar Salai, Beach Railway Station, Mannady, EVR Road, and Vepery will be operated from Theevu Thidal.
Key routes include 1, 4, 6, 13, 15, 20, 33 series, 35, 42 series, 44 series, 56 series, 57 series, 102 series, 109 series, and 242.
Important Note for Passengers
- Plan your journey in advance as boarding points have changed
- Follow signboards and announcements at Royapuram and Theevu Thidal
- Expect minor delays during the initial days of diversion
This temporary arrangement will remain in effect until the Broadway Bus Stand renovation works are completed.
