With the first phase of the JEE Main examination for the 2026–2027 academic year set to begin on Wednesday, January 21, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the admit cards for candidates.
In a press release, the NTA stated that students seeking admission to undergraduate programmes in central higher education institutions such as IITs and NITs must qualify through the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE), which is conducted in two stages: JEE Main and JEE Advanced. The JEE Main exam is held twice a year.
Accordingly, the first phase of the JEE Main 2026 examination will be conducted from January 21 to January 30. More than 12 lakh candidates are reported to have applied for this phase.
The admit cards were released on Sunday night and can be downloaded from the official website: jeemain.nta.nic.in. The examination will be conducted in 13 languages, including Tamil, English, and Hindi.
