Chennai has recorded a significant improvement in its water security, with 94.5% water storage available in the city’s five main drinking water reservoirs.
The reservoirs supplying drinking water to Chennai-Chembarambakkam, Puzhal, Poondi, Cholavaram, and Kannankottai-have a combined total capacity of 11.757 TMC, out of which 11.111 TMC of water is currently stored.
