Chennai Suburban Trains Cancelled on Dec 13 & 14 Due to Maintenance | Special EMU Services Announced
Due to maintenance work at Minjur and Athipattu railway stations on the Chennai Central–Gudur section, several suburban EMU train services in Chennai will be cancelled on Saturday and Sunday, December 13 and 14. The maintenance work will be carried out between 10:00 AM and 12:30 PM on both days.
As a result, the suburban train departing from Chennai Beach at 9:40 AM to Gummidipoondi, the train leaving Gummidipoondi at 9:55 AM to Chennai Central, and the service at 10:55 AM to Chennai Beach will be cancelled on these dates. In addition, on December 14, the train departing from Chennai Central at 9:00 AM to Gummidipoondi and the return service from Gummidipoondi at 11:25 AM to Chennai Central will also be cancelled.
Further, on December 12 and 13, the suburban train departing from Sulurpetta at 10:00 AM to Chennai Central will be short-terminated at Ponneri. Similarly, the train leaving Chennai Central at 10:30 AM to Gummidipoondi will be short-terminated at Ennore.
Special Train Services:
To minimise passenger inconvenience due to cancellations, special trains will be operated. On December 13, a special service will run from Ponneri to Chennai Central at 12:00 noon. On December 14, a special train will operate from Ennore to Chennai Central at 12:00 noon. Additionally, on both December 13 and 14, a special train will depart from Ennore at 10:36 AM to Chennai Central.
