Heavy Rain Alert for 13 TN Districts Today as Deep Depression Shifts Toward Puducherry
The Chennai Meteorological Centre has announced that 13 districts in Tamil Nadu, including Thoothukudi, Tenkasi, Tirunelveli, Coimbatore, The Nilgiris, Villupuram, Tiruvannamalai, Chennai, and others, are likely to experience heavy rainfall today (Dec. 04).
Deep Depression Changes Direction
According to the IMD report, the deep depression that was previously positioned near Chennai over the Bay of Bengal has taken a ‘U-turn’ and moved toward Puducherry. Due to this shift, several districts have been placed under a Yellow Alert for heavy rain.
