Gold Prices Continue to Rise Again in Chennai
Gold prices, which shocked everyone by touching a new high of ₹97,600 per sovereign on October 17, later began to decline and fluctuate frequently. Over the past few days, however, prices have once again started moving toward their peak.
The day before yesterday, gold prices rose by ₹90 per gram and ₹720 per sovereign, with 1 gram priced at ₹12,070 and 1 sovereign at ₹96,560. Yesterday, prices fell slightly, with 22-carat gold rates in Chennai dropping by ₹240 per sovereign. As a result, one sovereign was sold for ₹96,320, and 1 gram was priced at ₹12,040.
Silver prices remained unchanged yesterday at ₹196 per gram and ₹1,96,000 per kg.
This fluctuation continues as investors’ attention alternates between gold and the stock market.
