Tamil Nadu Chief Electoral Officer Archana clarifies: Relative’s name not required in SIR form

The Chief Electoral Officer of Tamil Nadu, Archana, has announced that it is not mandatory to provide a relative’s name when filling out the SIR (Summary Revision) form.
Even if a voter leaves the relative’s name blank, their name will still appear in the electoral roll as long as they provide their basic personal details accurately.
If a voter is unable to find their name in the 2002 or 2005 voter lists, they can still submit the SIR form by providing the other relevant information.
Out of the total 6.41 crore voters in Tamil Nadu, SIR forms have already been distributed to 6.23 crore voters to ensure proper verification and inclusion.
