GCC Urges Early Submission of Electoral Roll Verification Forms Ahead of Dec 4 Deadline
The Greater Chennai Corporation (GCC) has urged all voters to submit their filled-in enumeration forms for the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls well before the December 4 deadline, emphasizing the need to complete data entry and verification on time.
Booth-level officers (BLOs) began the house-to-house distribution of verification forms across the 16 Assembly constituencies in Chennai on November 4. The BLOs are required to collect the filled forms from residents and upload the details using the Election Commission’s mobile application by the deadline.
To avoid last-minute delays, GCC has advised voters not to wait until the final day. Residents are requested to hand over the completed enumeration form to the visiting BLO and ensure they receive an acknowledgement slip on the duplicate copy for record purposes.
The Corporation added that timely submission will help ensure accurate and updated electoral rolls ahead of upcoming elections.
