Heavy Rain Alert: Holidays Declared for Schools and Colleges in Southern Districts
The Meteorological Department has issued a very heavy rain warning for Thoothukudi, Tenkasi, Tirunelveli and Kanyakumari districts today.
As a precautionary measure, two teams of the Tamil Nadu State Disaster Response Force (TNSDRF) have been deployed in Thoothukudi, and one team has been stationed in Tirunelveli. The situation is being continuously monitored through the State Emergency Operation Center, officials said.
Following the alert, the Tamil Nadu Government has instructed District Collectors to take all necessary precautionary measures.

University Exams Postponed
The November semester examinations scheduled to be held tomorrow (24.11.2025) at Nellai Manonmaniam Sundaranar University and its affiliated colleges have been postponed.
The revised exam date will be announced later, the university said.
