According to the latest update from Tamil Nadu Weatherman (TWM), many parts of Tamil Nadu are set to experience widespread rainfall over the next couple of days. Chennai and KTCC (Kancheepuram, Tiruvallur, Chengalpattu & Chennai districts) are expected to receive intermittent rains with sudden intense spells till Tuesday.
Weather Systems Influencing Rainfall
The Low Pressure Area near Sri Lanka is gradually moving towards the Comorin Sea (Kumari Kadal). Historically, when such systems position themselves over the Comorin Sea, most districts of Tamil Nadu receive significant rainfall.

- Moderate rainfall occurred in the Delta region and South Tamil Nadu districts.
