Chennai Airport Extends Free Parking for Disabled, Senior Citizens, Pregnant Women
The Chennai Meenambakkam Airport has revised its parking policy to provide additional convenience for disabled passengers, senior citizens, patients, and pregnant women.
Earlier, vehicles dropping off or picking up passengers at domestic and international terminals had 10 minutes of free parking. Vehicles staying beyond 10 minutes were charged ₹85 for 30 minutes.
Now, recognizing the extra time needed for special passengers, the Airport Authority of India has extended the free parking window from 10 minutes to 15 minutes for vehicles carrying disabled, elderly, or pregnant passengers. Special airport parking passes will be issued for these vehicles.
Vehicles exiting within 15 minutes: No parking fee
Vehicles exceeding 15 minutes: Parking fee applies for the next 30 minutes
This new parking rule is effective immediately, ensuring smoother access and convenience for passengers with special needs.
