Online booking of buses across India

A web portal for online booking of bus tickets offered by over a dozen state transport bodies is being launched by the road transport ministry.The portal will provide electronic reservation facilities to passengers including seat selection.
Officials said the pan-India bus reservation capability will enable passengers to book bus tickets for various state transport undertakings (STUs).
The portal can be integrated with the railway reservation portal and airline and hotel reservation systems, he added. To start with, the portal will cover transport corporations of Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Punjab, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat Odisha and Meghalaya.
