Tamil Nadu to Launch Game Developers Hub in Chennai Within Six Months

Tamil Nadu Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin announced that a Game Developers Hub will be launched in Chennai within six months. The announcement was made at the 17th Indian Game Developers Conference 2025 held at Nandambakkam Trade Centre.
The state also introduced its AVGC-XR Policy 2025 - focusing on Animation, Visual Effects, Gaming, Comics, and Extended Reality - to make Tamil Nadu a global creative and gaming hub.
Regional centers will be set up in Coimbatore, Madurai, Tiruchirappalli, Salem, and Tirunelveli. With over 10,800 startups and an 11.19% IT growth rate, Tamil Nadu is leading India’s digital innovation journey.
