Additional Tokens to Be Issued at Sub-Registrar Offices on Auspicious Aippasi Days

With a surge in property deed registrations expected on the auspicious days of the Tamil month Aippasi, the Registration Department has announced the allocation of additional tokens across sub-registrar offices in Tamil Nadu.

Traditionally, auspicious days see a sharp increase in property transactions and new bookings at registration offices. In anticipation of this, the public had requested an increase in the number of daily tokens issued for deed registrations.

Responding to the request, authorities have decided to issue additional tokens on October 24 (tomorrow) and October 27, both considered auspicious days in the Aippasi month.

Under this arrangement, offices that usually issue 100 tokens will now issue 150 tokens, while offices that typically issue 200 tokens will increase their allocation to 300 tokens.

Dinesh Ponraj Oliver, Inspector General of Registration, stated that additional ordinary and Tatkal tokens have been arranged for 100 high-demand sub-registrar offices where the volume of deed registrations is typically the highest.

This move aims to ensure smooth processing of property registrations and reduce waiting times for the public during these peak days.
