Heavy Rain Forecast for Chennai and Surrounding Districts
The Regional Meteorological Centre has issued a heavy rain alert for several districts in Tamil Nadu over the next few days.
According to the forecast, heavy rain is likely to occur today in Chennai, Chengalpattu, Kanchipuram, Tiruvallur, and Ranipet districts.
Tomorrow (October 24), one or two places in Chengalpattu, Villupuram, Cuddalore, and Puducherry are also expected to receive heavy rainfall.
Furthermore, the Meteorological Department has announced that heavy rain is likely in 10 districts across Tamil Nadu on October 26, 27, and 28. These include Chennai, Tiruvallur, Kanchipuram, Chengalpattu, Ranipet, Vellore, Tiruvannamalai, Villupuram, Cuddalore, and Kallakurichi districts.
Residents in these regions are advised to stay updated with weather bulletins and take necessary precautions during the heavy rainfall period.
